Shakespeare’s "The Winter’s Tale: A Retelling"
Friday, January 27, 2012 at 8:00 PM
Saturday, January 28th 2012 at 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM
The Winter’s Tale is a provocative combination of two worlds. The first Act deals with the tragic consequences of tyrannical actions by a once respected, intelligent leader who becomes obsessed with power and jealousy. The second Act celebrates the regenerative power present in both the natural world and the human where the seeds of unconditional love, forgiveness and goodness lie dormant. Whether the ending is labeled magical, mysterious, or miraculous, it affirms the importance of art in human experience. This production includes dancers from Northcoast Dance, original music and choreography, cinematic transitions and the compelling energy of young actors.
Please join us! We hope you will partake of our enthusiasm and experience a richly entertaining evening in the midst of winter!
