The life-size, dynamic figures within Seongmin Yoo’s newest exhibition capture the intense physiological moment of attentive immobility, a reaction that premeditates a fight or flight response. The opening performance by Seongmin Yoo on May 2 at 5:45 p.m. will activate the installation, extending the work’s investigation of presence, perception, and collective awareness. Seongmin will also be giving an Art Talk at 5:00 prior to Arts Alive. Anderson Galleries “Twin Flames,” Peggy Loudon & George Bucquet.  “Twin Flames,” celebrates a rare milestone: thirty-five years of shared inspiration and mastery between ceramicist Peggy Loudon and glass artist George Bucquet. Like two flames dancing in tandem, their distinct mediums—clay and glass—converge in this exhibition to explore the harmony of form, light, and texture. This collection is more than a display of technical brilliance; it is a visual dialogue between two lifelong friends who have spent decades pushing the boundaries of their respective crafts while remaining anchored in a shared artistic soul. Permanent Collection Gallery “From the HAC Collection-Morris Graves,” In a baby book, Graves’ mother recorded his first word as “see.” In looking at a life of work, it seems that this is what he has asked himself and us as viewers to do all along- to see, to look beyond the surface of the objects and catch sight of their inner nature. This exhibition invites the viewer to explore the work of Morris Graves from the HAC Permanent Collection and to see glimpses into a world of natural harmony and ethereal beauty. The HAC Permanent Collection Gallery will rotate works from the collection that are only exhibited occasionally. MGMA Gift Shop Visit the MGMA Gift Shop for a selection of gifts and merchandise inspired by the artwork on view.
